The Mad Prophets

confessions of a realistic pollyanna

I was reminded today that one religious group has predicted that a huge tsunami will hit Sydney tonight at 9pm killing 400,000 people and wiping out major infrastructure. Saying that God was angry at the world for many things, this group predicted that God would wipe out the world. I for one am not getting my wellies ready. Such predictions are made all of the time and we are still here. I expect I will still be on terra firma the city intact. One more prediction gone by the wayside.

I have always been a person who is not that concerned with the end of things. Oh sure I hope things turn out well and I will work my hardest to ensure that happens. But I know the end will only work out well if I am doing my best all the time. I need to live the best way I can now- not because I am worried about the end of times, but because it is the right thing to do. Whether the city is destroyed or not tonight is of no consequence. I need to do my best right now because it is the right thing to do. Blessings.
